Description

  • Take ownership of standard and mid-size contract negotiations for the US, Canada, and UK regions.
  • Act as a legal business partner to Sales and Customer Success teams to help close deals.
  • Lead complex, high-stakes, multi-year negotiations with minimal supervision.
  • Provide pragmatic legal solutions that unblock commercial deals.
  • Share Common Law expertise with the legal team and support cross-functional collaboration.
  • Contribute to projects involving Privacy, Compliance, AI compliance, and other global legal topics.
  • Optimize contract templates for US and UK markets based on field feedback.
  • Support other regions, including French negotiations, when team priorities require it.
  • Build trust with sales leadership and position Legal as a strategic advantage.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in business law and contracting.
  • Experience in the Tech/SaaS ecosystem or in an international law firm is preferred.
  • Deep understanding of US and UK contract law and legal nuances.
  • Bilingual English/French, with the ability to negotiate and draft legal documents in both languages daily.
  • Experience living or working in the US or Canada is a strong plus.
  • Proven ability to align stakeholders and manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to prioritize impact and accountability within a healthy work-life balance framework.
  • Comfort working autonomously while collaborating closely with a small, cross-functional team.
  • Familiarity with legal operations tools such as CLM and Trello is preferred.
  • Interest in privacy, compliance, and AI-related legal topics is preferred.
