Description

  • Own portfolio performance across assigned university partnerships, including retention, satisfaction, and credit-generation metrics.
  • Execute short- and long-term retention strategies to protect revenue and maintain portfolio health.
  • Serve as the senior escalation point for program performance, student risk, and institutional concerns.
  • Manage, coach, and support a team of Student Success Managers and individual contributors.
  • Conduct performance reviews, goal-setting sessions, onboarding, and ongoing skills training.
  • Monitor daily and weekly dashboards to track productivity, outreach volume, and student engagement.
  • Partner with Data Science and Operations teams to turn reporting insights into team action plans.
  • Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement standardized process improvements.
  • Translate student and partner feedback into program and operational improvements across 2U stakeholders.
  • Proactively identify risks to program objectives and drive mitigation plans to improve the student experience.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience directly related to the role’s duties and responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of employee management experience, with management of managers highly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong customer service background required.
  • Experience working with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to achieve defined results and exceed goals and objectives.
  • Strong relationship management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, deadline adherence, and follow-through.
  • Ability to understand complex programs, processes, and organizational structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to think critically, anticipate issues, and challenge colleagues constructively.
  • Available to work remotely across the U.S.; candidates in the Washington-Baltimore area who can come to Arlington, VA two days per week are prioritized.
