Description

  • Implement rigorous computational and statistical methods for single-cell and spatial transcriptomics analysis.
  • Derive actionable insights from clinical and translational single-cell or in-situ spatial datasets.
  • Design, implement, and validate biomarkers for diagnostic applications.
  • Build and maintain reproducible bioinformatics pipelines for large-scale data processing.
  • Process and analyze datasets spanning hundreds to thousands of samples.
  • Apply computational strategies to large biomedical datasets to support clinical diagnostics.

Requirements

  • Ph.D. in bioinformatics, computational biology, genomics, or a related discipline.
  • Extensive hands-on experience in single-cell NGS data analysis.
  • At least 2 years of industry experience after completing a Ph.D.
  • Experience analyzing large-scale single-cell or spatial transcriptomics datasets for biologically meaningful insights and/or diagnostic biomarkers.
  • Strong understanding of the assumptions, limitations, and caveats of statistical methods.
  • Experience developing and optimizing high-performance, scalable code.
  • Proficiency working in a Linux environment.
  • Goal-oriented, self-motivated, and able to solve problems independently.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a conscientious work ethic.
  • Hands-on experience with 10x Genomics single-cell and in-situ transcriptomics technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Hands-on research experience in cancer or autoimmune diseases is strongly preferred.
  • Knowledge of clinical genomics, biomarker discovery, and diagnostics is preferred.
  • Experience developing statistical models and algorithms for single-cell or spatial transcriptomics data is preferred.
  • Application of machine learning in genomics is preferred.
  • Proficiency with workflow orchestration tools such as Snakemake, Nextflow, or Martian is preferred.
  • Knowledge of programming best practices, including reproducibility, version control, design patterns, testing, debugging, and profiling, is preferred.
  • Track record of writing production-level code or maintaining published software packages is preferred.
  • Experience with high-throughput computing infrastructure such as HPC or cloud computing is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $123,400 to $167,000 USD.
  • Eligible for equity grants.
