Description

  • Act as the main point of contact between customers and the company.
  • Deliver customer site trainings and product demonstrations.
  • Keep customers informed and trained on advancements in 10x technology and software.
  • Provide experimental design, data analysis, logistical, and troubleshooting support.
  • Identify, document, and communicate customer issues, complaints, and concerns to management.
  • Collaborate with customers on scientific research using 10x technologies.
  • Maintain positive long-term customer relationships and manage expectations.
  • Gather and share strategic customer feedback with Marketing and Product Development teams.
  • Troubleshoot issues related to technical skills, assay design, experimental design, software, and instruments.
  • Support field sales at trade shows, seminars, and technical symposiums.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in molecular biology, biochemistry, genomics, or genetics.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of NGS workflows and data analysis software and/or sorting cytometry and associated analysis software.
  • Fluent written and verbal Japanese language skills.
  • Outstanding presentation and training skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and systematic troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to maintain customer site records and provide high-level feedback to management.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.
  • PhD or equivalent experience preferred.
  • BA/BS with approximately 5 years of experience or MS with approximately 3 years of experience preferred.
  • Previous customer-facing experience preferred.
  • Hands-on proficiency with common molecular biology bench techniques and cell culture experience preferred.
  • Broad knowledge of genomics or biochemistry preferred.
  • Single-cell laboratory experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team toward corporate goals preferred.
