Description

  • Own the company's budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic planning, hiring, investments, and operational decisions.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages, including variance analyses and executive dashboards.
  • Partner with department leaders to build budgets, monitor spending, and improve financial visibility.
  • Own cash flow forecasting and help optimize liquidity and working capital management.
  • Coordinate with external accounting firms on month-end and year-end close activities in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop, document, and continuously improve financial policies, processes, and internal controls.
  • Support annual audits, tax filings, compliance requirements, fundraising activities, board reporting, and investor materials.
  • Build financial analyses and business cases for strategic initiatives, pricing decisions, and operational investments.
  • Identify opportunities to automate financial reporting and improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, FP&A, accounting, corporate finance, or a related discipline.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement analysis.
  • Demonstrated experience owning budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Advanced financial modeling skills using Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets.
  • Experience preparing executive-level financial reporting and business performance analyses.
  • Experience partnering cross-functionally with business leaders to support strategic decision making.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with technical and non-technical audiences.
  • MBA or other relevant professional certification preferred.
  • Experience supporting venture-backed startups or high-growth technology companies preferred.
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial planning software preferred.
  • Experience improving financial reporting through automation or systems implementation preferred.
  • Familiarity with SaaS financial metrics, subscription revenue, or technology company finance preferred.
