Description

  • Build and operate data services that power applications and APIs.
  • Develop and maintain services for managing bulk data offerings under complex healthcare access control requirements.
  • Process, store, and deliver health records at large scale while maintaining data quality and freshness.
  • Collaborate with team members and across Engineering to prototype and develop new functionality.
  • Partner with product managers and other stakeholders on platform work.
  • Work with microservices in Go and streaming data pipelines in AWS.
  • Use data technologies such as Apache Iceberg, Apache Spark, Snowflake, and dbt.
  • Run experiments to evolve the platform as scale and data volumes grow.
  • Help ensure services deploy safely and operate reliably in production.

Requirements

  • Experience building operationally stable, scalable, and cost-efficient data services.
  • Experience with cloud data warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks.
  • Experience with at least one deployment technology such as GitHub Actions or CircleCI.
  • Experience with at least one cloud provider such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Ability to learn quickly and work through open-ended technical challenges.
  • Comfort owning work end to end and deploying safely to production.
  • Preferred experience with petabyte-scale data.
  • Preferred experience with Apache Iceberg and Apache Spark.
  • Preferred experience with AuthN/AuthZ and fine-grained access control.
  • Preferred familiarity with Go or Python.
  • Preferred experience working with healthcare data and APIs.
  • Preferred familiarity with FHIR and/or TEFCA standards.
  • Willingness to travel about once per quarter for in-person collaboration.
