Description

  • Run technical discovery with banks and identify the highest-value problems to solve.
  • Assemble multi-platform solutions and define scope, phasing, and coexistence strategies.
  • Design target architectures and integrations with existing core, ledger, data, and channel systems.
  • Build and maintain customer-relevant demo environments, proofs of concept, bake-offs, and tabletop exercises.
  • Own technical RFPs, RFIs, security reviews, audit assessments, due diligence, and resilience planning.
  • Defend solution designs through enterprise architecture, information security, procurement, and related reviews.
  • Serve as the technical counterpart to banking service-provider partners and enable their sales engineers.
  • Maintain competitive positioning and requalify opportunities based on customer needs and market dynamics.
  • Create technical thought leadership with Marketing and communicate customer feedback to Product.
  • Develop reusable reference architectures, solution libraries, and documented responses to recurring objections.

Requirements

  • 12+ years of experience across technology and commercial roles, including multiple areas such as software engineering, product management, pre-sales, or customer success.
  • Substantial experience selling technology to US banks or credit unions through architecture, security, and procurement reviews.
  • Broad knowledge of banking technology, including core banking, deposits, payments, cards, lending, and digital channels.
  • Hands-on depth in at least two areas of the banking technology stack.
  • Experience with cloud-native banking platforms, including their architecture, APIs, events, data models, and extension points.
  • Strong architectural judgment, including target-state design, migration sequencing, and coexistence planning.
  • Experience with core or platform migration in a live financial institution is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent solutioning, communication, presentation, public-speaking, and enterprise sales skills.
  • Ability to operate independently in a 0-to-1 function with changing priorities.
  • Degree in computer science or engineering.
