Description

  • Serve as the primary escalation point for Tier 3+ application support incidents requiring deep technical investigation.
  • Investigate escalated issues at the code level across multiple production codebases and engineering domains.
  • Diagnose root causes, implement and test fixes, and deploy resolutions to production.
  • Build broad working knowledge of Zensurance systems, including Node, TypeScript, and AWS, to resolve issues independently.
  • Engage engineering domain owners when needed for specialized issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with Application Support teammates to improve issue identification, triage, and resolution.
  • Document fixes, build runbooks, and maintain the knowledge repository to speed up future escalations.
  • Identify recurring incident patterns and drive code or process changes to reduce repeat issues.
  • Collect and analyze incident data to recommend process improvements and refine escalation workflows and tooling.
  • Mentor and coach team members while helping Engineering Leadership improve support craft capabilities.

Requirements

  • University degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program, preferably in Engineering or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of experience building rich, complex web or mobile applications.
  • Experience architecting and augmenting large software systems.
  • Extensive full-stack experience with Node, AWS, and the TypeScript ecosystem.
  • Experience with React is a plus.
  • Strong ability to communicate efficiently.
  • Collaborative work style.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, continuous learning, and knowledge sharing.
  • Passion for clean, reusable, and well-structured code.
