Description

  • Own problems end-to-end from understanding user pain through solution design, implementation, release, measurement, and iteration.
  • Engage directly with customers and internal experts to understand cloud operator and FinOps workflows and pain points.
  • Translate ambiguous problem spaces into small, shippable increments that can be validated quickly.
  • Use AI tools daily to support coding, analysis, research, and prototyping.
  • Design and build AI-powered features such as recommendations, automated insights, natural-language interfaces, and predictive capabilities.
  • Make technical decisions involving model selection, prompt engineering, latency, accuracy, cost tradeoffs, and responsible AI.
  • Prototype rapidly, ship frequently, and validate ideas through real customer usage.
  • Build across the full stack, including backend services, APIs, data pipelines, and frontend interfaces.
  • Work with cloud-native billing, usage, and operational data from AWS, GCP, and Azure.
  • Develop solutions for cloud cost optimization, governance, Kubernetes cost management, and GenAI observability.
  • Define success metrics and take ownership of reliability, user experience, and measurable outcomes.
  • Participate in customer conversations and feedback loops to continuously validate direction and surface new opportunities.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional software engineering experience with end-to-end product or feature delivery.
  • Strong full-stack engineering capability across backend, frontend, APIs, and data layers.
  • Solid understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and/or Azure, including compute, networking, IAM, Kubernetes, and billing/cost structures.
  • AI-first mindset with active use of AI tools to accelerate work and embed AI into products.
  • Product-oriented thinking with attention to user needs and business value.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and fast-changing priorities.
  • Strong customer empathy and communication skills for working with technical practitioners and synthesizing feedback.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Self-motivated and effective in a remote, fast-moving team environment.
  • Hands-on experience building AI/ML-powered product features, such as LLM integrations, recommendation systems, or intelligent automation, is a plus.
  • Background in a startup, research lab, or 0-to-1 product environment is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data cloud platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, or BigQuery and their cost/usage dynamics is a plus.
