Description

  • Lead and manage a team of 5–10 engineers, driving day-to-day operations and team ceremonies.
  • Unblock engineers quickly and ensure the team is clear on priorities, deliverables, and the value to users.
  • Own delivery and execution for the House, including sprint planning, backlog management, release readiness, and resolving incoming support tickets.
  • Provide professional development, continuous feedback, mentoring, and performance management for team members.
  • Review engineering work and pull requests, provide actionable technical feedback, and uphold production branch and release quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in technical design and architecture discussions, balancing high-level oversight with hands-on contribution and code ownership when needed.
  • Drive and own the team’s technical roadmap, assess and manage technical debt, and ensure components scale and remain healthy.
  • Promote and evolve an AI-driven software development lifecycle, integrating AI into implementation while ensuring human-led design, review, and quality assurance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading engineering teams (typically 5+ engineers) in a delivery-focused environment (3+ years).
  • 5+ years of experience as a software engineer with a strong hands-on technical background and ability to review code and guide design decisions.
  • Experience owning delivery and execution, including sprint planning, backlog management, and release readiness.
  • AI-driven mindset and experience applying AI to software development workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor, coach, and grow engineers through regular feedback and performance management.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business context into clear technical direction.
  • Experience in SaaS, cloud-native, or distributed systems environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Golang and Node.js for backend services and React for complex front-end applications.
  • Experience building orchestrated data pipelines (e.g., Dagster, Airflow) and performing API analysis for data extraction and transformation.
  • Experience designing and operating systems in cloud environments (AWS, GCP, Azure), familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, and understanding of distributed systems concepts, observability, reliability, and production incident management.
