Description

  • Lead group workshops to identify strategic drivers and develop use cases, functional requirements, technical requirements, policies, and procedures.
  • Ensure the program’s strategic vision and desired business outcomes remain aligned with what is being delivered.
  • Document future-state business processes and help develop policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment on future-state vision and value definitions.
  • Provide functional expertise on Shopify Plus and B2B Suite, and optionally BigCommerce, including app ecosystems, headless/composable setups, multi-store architecture, and custom storefront flows.
  • Advise client stakeholders on modern Shopify-native commerce architectures, including catalog modeling, inventory sync, subscriptions, bundled products, multi-market configurations, B2B roles, and app integrations.
  • Review and validate user requirements, functional specifications, technical specifications, data models, and process flow diagrams to manage scope and support successful delivery.
  • Collaborate with the project manager to ensure business objectives are aligned with the project plan.
  • Act as a bridge between client, technical, and creative teams, facilitating design reviews and ensuring the delivered application matches the creative design.
  • Use analytics tools such as Shopify Analytics, GA4, and third-party data tools to identify growth opportunities and, where applicable, interpret BigCommerce analytics.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a client-facing Business Analyst or Business Consultant role, preferably in Professional Services or IT Consulting.
  • Experience with Shopify Plus and B2B, or similar commerce platforms; BigCommerce knowledge or certification is a strong plus.
  • Full life-cycle project experience from initial scoping through delivery.
  • Experience defining and documenting test strategy, unit testing, and integration testing.
  • Strong problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage senior-level client relationships.
  • Comfort working with agile, iterative software development methodologies.
  • Interest in digital commerce technology and willingness to learn new technologies, best practices, and third-party tools.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional, geographically dispersed environment.
