Description

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex network solutions based on project statements of work.
  • Create detailed network diagrams, specifications, and implementation plans.
  • Oversee execution of network implementation plans and ensure project delivery targets are met.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Solution Architects, Network Consultants, and engineering team members.
  • Develop and present high-level network architecture designs that clearly show data flow and component interactions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, escalating only exceptionally difficult problems when needed.
  • Maintain comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Collaborate with project managers and clients to provide updates, manage expectations, and align technical solutions with business needs.
  • Mentor junior architects and engineers and contribute to internal knowledge sharing and process improvement.
  • Adhere to network standards, procedures, safety regulations, security requirements, and compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of experience in IT systems, software, and networking.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with network cabling, including termination and testing.
  • Significant experience with rack management and equipment installation in diverse environments.
  • Strong understanding of the OSI model, TCP/IP model, subnetting, routing protocols, network security principles, and network design methodologies.
  • Experience with networking hardware from multiple manufacturers, including Cisco, Juniper, and Arista.
  • Demonstrated expertise with Cisco equipment is required.
  • Advanced ability to design complex network architectures, create detailed diagrams, and translate design specifications into implementation plans.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently troubleshoot highly complex network issues.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience with project budgeting, resource allocation, scoping, and time management.
  • Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent advanced networking certification is required.
  • Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent networking certification is required.
