Description

  • Provide first-level support for client end users, networks, and server issues.
  • Take incoming phone calls and emails from clients reporting technology problems.
  • Troubleshoot software, hardware, and operating system issues across user devices and systems.
  • Deliver courteous, empathetic customer support and maintain professional communication.
  • Resolve incidents promptly or escalate them according to client service level agreements.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate engineering resources for deeper investigation.
  • Communicate with on-shift engineers to ensure tickets are addressed efficiently.
  • Follow Wiki/KB documentation when handling incidents and recommend updates or corrections when needed.
  • Create detailed documentation of issues and support activities.
  • Stay current on new technologies and continue education in emerging technologies.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of related experience in help desk or network support preferred.
  • Strong customer service, telephone, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, iPhone, and Android devices.
  • Expertise in operating systems and application software.
  • Familiarity with Cisco network technology.
  • Working knowledge of major desktop operating systems and major network operating systems.
  • Experience with basic end-user administration, including network and general account maintenance.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to articulate network issues.
  • Strong sense of ownership and the ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Availability to work either Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday from 3:30 pm CT to 12:00 am CT.
