Description

  • Deploy, configure, and manage Azure Virtual Desktop environments, including host pools, session hosts, and application groups.
  • Maintain and update golden images for AVD deployments following established processes.
  • Monitor performance, availability, and usage of AVD resources and take proactive measures to optimize performance and cost.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve AVD issues, including connectivity, performance, and application deployment problems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance IT infrastructure and drive continuous improvements in the AVD environment.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, runbooks, and guidelines for AVD administration processes and best practices.
  • Implement security controls and ensure compliance with organizational policies within the AVD environment.
  • Streamline operational processes to enhance the end-user experience and support scalability of AVD services.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience administering Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) or related cloud technologies.
  • Strong understanding of Azure infrastructure, including virtual networks, storage, and security best practices.
  • Experience with Nerdio for managing AVD is strongly preferred.
  • Proficiency with scripting and automation tools such as PowerShell and Azure CLI.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex AVD-related issues and providing end-user support.
  • Strong written and spoken English (B2 or above) for customer- and end-user-facing support.
  • Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate) are a plus.
