Description

  • Own end-to-end, accurate, timely, and compliant US payroll processing for 500+ employees.
  • Partner with Finance and People Ops to manage payroll inputs, including hires, terminations, compensation changes, bonuses, deductions, and leaves.
  • Serve as the internal payroll subject matter expert, resolving employee questions and coordinating with ADP and internal stakeholders on payroll, tax, and deduction issues.
  • Manage multi-state payroll tax compliance, including New York’s Convenience of the Employer rule and related withholding requirements.
  • Administer payroll- and invoicing-related benefits activities, including employee deduction changes and qualifying life events.
  • Review and reconcile benefits invoices and self-funded plan activity, including eligibility, enrollment, deductions, and plan fees.
  • Partner with Accounting to resolve discrepancies and complete payroll and benefits financial reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end activities, W-2 preparation, open enrollment, benefits renewals, and audits.
  • Maintain payroll and benefits documentation and controls while automating and scaling processes.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of hands-on payroll and benefits administration experience.
  • Direct experience running US payroll for at least 500 employees through ADP Workforce Now.
  • Experience managing multi-state payroll and benefits invoice reconciliation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax requirements.
  • Ability to research and resolve complex payroll, tax, and withholding questions.
  • Hands-on experience identifying discrepancies across payroll, HRIS, carrier, and vendor data.
  • Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets and large datasets, reconciliations, audits, and reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail, ownership, judgment, and communication skills in deadline-driven work.
  • Experience with self-insured benefits plans and New York’s Convenience of the Employer rule (strongly preferred).
  • Availability to work East Coast hours; role may be performed remotely within the United States.
