Description

  • Ensure smooth operation of the company’s geo-distributed infrastructure.
  • Maintain and configure network equipment, bare metal servers, and NAS systems.
  • Maintain and configure the VMWare virtualization environment.
  • Administer multiple Linux servers.
  • Monitor service health and resolve emerging issues promptly.
  • Automate administrative and operational tasks.
  • Participate in infrastructure development and improvements.
  • Collaborate with developers, database administrators, DevOps engineers, and architects.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of active network equipment, including switches, routers, and firewalls.
  • Strong understanding of network technologies such as VLAN, STP, static routing, PBR, OSPF, BGP, ACL, IPSEC, OpenVPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Experience with VMWare technologies including vCenter, vSAN, Distributed Switch, and HA.
  • Working knowledge of HP/Dell servers and storage systems.
  • Experience administering Debian/Ubuntu Linux systems.
  • Experience administering monitoring, logging, and metrics collection systems.
  • Intermediate or higher spoken and technical English.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • DevOps practice knowledge or experience (preferred).
  • Experience with IaC tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Terraform (preferred).
  • Experience with Google Cloud Platform or Amazon Web Services (preferred).
  • Understanding of information security principles and SOC2/PCI DSS infrastructure (preferred).
  • Familiarity with Kanban methodology (preferred).
  • Experience contributing significantly to large projects (preferred).
