Description

  • Build and maintain trust-based relationships with manufacturing partners to increase engagement and capacity.
  • Engage newly onboarded suppliers supporting production programs and help them succeed on the Xometry platform.
  • Coach partners on documentation, finishing processes, and quality assurance best practices.
  • Support partner readiness for complex, highly regulated programs in aerospace, defense, medical, and automotive sectors.
  • Collaborate with sourcing, engineering, project management, Technical Account Managers, and Project Managers on bid and project requirements.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and fit for new bids, proposals, and Statement of Work requirements.
  • Identify and flag supplier risks early, including capacity constraints, financial weakness, and geopolitical exposure.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of late shipments and help partners implement sustainable mitigation plans.
  • Support qualification of finishing suppliers and controlled processes such as plating, anodizing, heat treatment, coatings, and paint/prime.
  • Help partners pursue and maintain special process qualifications and compliance requirements such as NADCAP, AMS, VAPS, PPS, TS16949, DoD, FAA, TCCA, DFARS, and ITAR.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in supplier development, supplier quality, or a similar role in manufacturing or a technical environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and quality standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build and maintain relationships.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to mediate complex situations.
  • Knowledge of special processes and industry certifications such as NADCAP and AS9100 is a significant plus.
  • Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ITAR and DFARS and their implications for manufacturing.
  • Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies such as APQP, PPAP, Lean Manufacturing, and Six Sigma.
  • Willingness to travel to supplier locations as required.
  • Resume must be submitted in English.
