Description

  • Evaluate design outputs across visual assets, layouts, documents, websites, prototypes, games, and related formats.
  • Identify weaknesses in design quality and clearly explain issues affecting usability, clarity, and functionality.
  • Refine, restyle, or recreate weak outputs to produce high-quality reference examples.
  • Write precise annotations, critiques, and design rationales distinguishing mediocre, good, and excellent work.
  • Label high-quality datasets covering graphic, interface, web, game, and design-writing content.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams on evaluation tasks, rubrics, and design-quality examples.
  • Apply consistent design judgment across varied briefs, styles, and levels of interactivity.

Requirements

  • Professional design excellence in at least one discipline, such as graphic, brand, visual, product, UI/UX, web, game design, or illustration.
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong taste and finished, high-quality work.
  • Strong understanding of visual hierarchy, typography, spacing, color, composition, consistency, and communication clarity.
  • Ability to evaluate and explain design quality outside your primary specialty.
  • Fluent English and excellent written communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and comfort working with evolving instructions in fast-paced evaluation settings.
  • Ability to create high-quality reference examples, not only assess existing work.
  • Experience across multiple design domains or with shipped and professionally reviewed websites, interfaces, or games is preferred.
  • Familiarity with accessibility, modern design tools such as Figma or Adobe Creative Cloud, generative AI design tools, and design critique, QA, annotation, or AI evaluation is preferred.
  • Remote collaboration tool experience, including Google Workspace, Slack, or Notion, is preferred; frontend or game-engine familiarity is a plus.
  • Must be legally eligible to work without visa sponsorship; personal devices must run ChromeOS, macOS 11+, or Windows 10+.

Benefits

  • US compensation of $35–$75 per hour, depending on experience, skills, education, location, and qualifications.
  • Remote work available worldwide, subject to legal eligibility, time-zone compatibility, and role requirements.
  • Full-time, part-time, and contractor arrangements may be available.
  • Contractors can set their own hours with no fixed commitment; project workloads commonly average at least 10 hours per week.
  • Eligible US positions include health insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave.
