Description

  • Build and own the integration layer between AIVIA and GDS/travel APIs, including fares, availability, PNRs, queues, and ticketing.
  • Design the data model for itineraries, segments, and pricing that powers the broader platform and AI tools.
  • Develop booking flows that AIVIA’s AI agents use to convert trip plans into bookable components.
  • Implement instrumentation, retries, and failure handling to keep booking workflows reliable in production.
  • Integrate supplier APIs and initial booking touchpoints into CRM and trip planning products.
  • Work closely with product and engineering to ship features that the business depends on directly.
  • Collaborate with travel advisors and incorporate feedback through frequent iteration and instrumentation.
  • Own practical engineering decisions in a small, high-ownership team with direct reporting to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Direct production GDS API experience with Sabre, Travelport+/Galileo, or Amadeus; this is non-negotiable.
  • 3+ years building production web applications.
  • Experience with React or Next.js and modern component patterns.
  • Experience with Postgres or an equivalent database and strong data modeling instincts.
  • Solid grounding in authentication, security, and PII handling.
  • Practical testing and CI/CD discipline.
  • Fluency with AI coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or Copilot, with judgment on when to use them and when not to.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Experience working in an AI-augmented engineering environment is preferred.
