Description

  • Build and customize Shopify Plus Online Store 2.0 themes (often using Dawn) and create pixel-perfect templates, sections, blocks, and page templates from Figma designs.
  • Translate Figma designs into responsive, production-ready Shopify templates and build landing pages from templates and Figma files.
  • Configure and implement Shopify Plus admin features and settings, including discounts, shipping rules, and advanced sales configurations.
  • Customize checkout and Plus functionality using Shopify Functions and stay current with Checkout Extensibility and related changes.
  • Implement advanced collection filtering using Tags, Metafields, and MetaObjects.
  • Install, configure, and integrate Shopify Plus apps (examples: ReBuy, YotPo, SYWM) to support client requirements.
  • Improve performance and SEO, focusing on Core Web Vitals, speed optimization, heading structure, and canonical/noindex tagging.
  • Implement ADA fixes and build ADA-compliant templates with guidance from product management.
  • Maintain clean version control workflows using GitHub and collaborate daily via ClickUp and Slack.
  • Communicate technical constraints and tradeoffs clearly to PMs and stakeholders when needed.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal English with clear, timely communication via Slack and ClickUp.
  • 3+ years building for Shopify Plus (DTC preferred; experience with $10–50M revenue brands is a plus).
  • Proven experience with Shopify Plus OS 2.0 themes and Dawn, able to build and customize themes from scratch.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver pixel-perfect Figma → storefront implementations (templates, sections, blocks).
  • Experience with performance optimization and Core Web Vitals improvements.
  • Knowledge of SEO template structure (H tags, canonical/noindex) and GA4/Ads/GTM data layer implementation in Shopify and Checkout.
  • Experience implementing ADA accessibility fixes and building compliant templates.
  • Experience configuring Plus admin features (discounts, shipping, advanced settings) and customizing checkout via Shopify Functions; familiarity with Checkout Extensibility and Markets.
  • Familiarity with GitHub-based theme code management and agency delivery workflows.
  • Ability to work US time zones (Pacific Time preferred, Eastern Time acceptable) and maintain 4–5 hours overlap with PT; remote (LATAM-friendly).
