Description

  • Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports used by operational and business teams.
  • Translate stakeholder questions into clear KPIs, report structures, and intuitive navigation.
  • Create and optimize datasets using Power Query transformations, data modeling, and DAX measures.
  • Connect, combine, and prepare data from sources such as SharePoint lists, Excel, SQL, Dataverse, and other connectors.
  • Improve report performance through better model design, measure optimization, and visual best practices.
  • Manage iterative delivery with frequent small requests, quick feedback loops, and continuous improvements.
  • Support workspace access, sharing, permissions, and refresh reliability.
  • Ensure reports are accurate, reliable, and executive-ready.

Requirements

  • Hands-on Power BI experience building production dashboards, not only training or certifications.
  • Strong visualization and UX skills for reporting, including clean layouts, drilldowns, usability, and stakeholder-friendly storytelling.
  • Solid DAX and Power Query (M) skills.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling fundamentals, including relationships, star schema concepts, and measures versus columns.
  • Experience working with business stakeholders and ambiguous requirements.
  • Comfort with a high volume of small reporting requests and fast iteration.
  • Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
  • Dataverse experience, including datasets, relationships, and governance, is preferred.
  • SharePoint Online experience, including lists as a data source and permissions basics, is preferred.
  • SQL familiarity, including reading queries and understanding tables and joins, is preferred.
  • Experience with Power Platform, such as Power Apps and Power Automate, in a citizen developer context, is preferred.
  • Exposure to RLS, gateways, and deployment practices across environments is preferred.
