Description

  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting processes to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
  • Develop and support implementation of accounting policies that promote compliance with accounting and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain documentation of policies and controls for key accounting areas including fixed assets, equity incentive plans, insurance plans, leases, joint ventures, intercompany activity, and consolidation.
  • Stay current on GAAP developments, evaluate their financial impact, and research accounting treatment for new transactions.
  • Work with auditors to resolve accounting issues and support the appropriate treatment of transactions and disclosures.
  • Oversee audit schedules and support the financial statement and FAR overhead rate audits.
  • Respond to audit inquiries and review audit reports and schedules for accuracy.
  • Collaborate with the controller and accounting managers to monitor internal controls over financial reporting and recommend improvements.
  • Review bank compliance reporting and related documentation.
  • Provide financial modeling and analysis to support decision-making and improve reporting efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 8+ years of relevant accounting and finance experience.
  • 2 years of direct supervisory experience.
  • Public accounting experience strongly preferred.
  • CPA license strongly preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Functional understanding of internal controls.
  • Ability to translate technical accounting knowledge into accounting procedures.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, communicate effectively, and manage fast-paced deadlines.
  • Willingness to work flexible and extended schedules during period-end and year-end close, annual audits, and other peak workload periods.
  • Prior experience in the professional services industry is a plus.
