Description

  • Manage the full dental billing cycle from start to finish.
  • Verify patient insurance eligibility.
  • Submit insurance claims and follow up on claims status, denials, and appeals.
  • Manage accounts receivable, aging reports, and patient balance reporting.
  • Collect copays and follow up on overdue balances.
  • Communicate financial responsibilities clearly with patients.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date billing records.
  • Schedule overdue hygiene appointments and conduct patient reactivation follow-ups.
  • Answer calls and manage communication through Weave.
  • Support daily front desk, receptionist, and administrative workflows.

Requirements

  • Strong dental billing experience with full-cycle responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Dentrix is required.
  • Experience with insurance verification, claims submission, appeals, AR management, and insurance follow-ups.
  • Dental industry experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of dental billing, coding, and insurance workflows.
  • Ability to discuss payments and balances confidently with patients.
  • Strong communication, multitasking, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Previous remote or virtual assistant experience is a plus.
  • Must speak and write English clearly.
  • Must be able to provide NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer, high-speed internet of at least 10 Mbps, noise-canceling headset, webcam, and quiet professional workspace.
