Description

  • Handle inbound patient intake calls and professionally introduce new patients to the practice.
  • Explain services and rates to patients and assist with appointment scheduling.
  • Send appointment reminders and coordinate scheduling through Calendly.
  • Verify out-of-network insurance benefits using online portals and phone calls.
  • Use insurance platforms such as Availity to collect and confirm benefits information.
  • Maintain accurate records of patient insurance details and related correspondence.
  • Prepare and organize reports, spreadsheets, and documentation.
  • Update and maintain internal KPI tracking systems and reporting.
  • Communicate with patients using Google Voice in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Support administrative and operational tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Healthcare background or familiarity with healthcare workflows.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist, Medical Administrative Assistant, Patient Care Coordinator, or similar role.
  • Experience handling patient intake calls.
  • Knowledge of insurance verification and benefits checking.
  • Experience using insurance portals such as Availity.
  • Strong phone communication skills for patient intake and insurance calls.
  • Excellent attention to detail for benefits verification and KPI tracking.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Professional demeanor for patient-facing communication.
  • Familiarity with healthcare terminology and insurance processes.
  • Ability to quickly learn new systems and tools.
  • Experience with Jane App, Availity, Google Voice, and Calendly is preferred.
  • Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly.
  • Must have relevant work experience.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Must have a reliable laptop or desktop computer.
  • Must have a high-speed internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps.
  • Must have a noise-canceling headset.
  • Must have a webcam for virtual meetings.
  • Must be able to work from a quiet, professional environment.
