Description

  • Handle high-volume inbound calls from patients across three practice locations.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate appointments according to office protocols.
  • Navigate AdvancedMD to review charts, appointment history, messages, and administrative information.
  • Document patient interactions, messages, and scheduling updates accurately in the EHR.
  • Receive and route refill inquiries without providing medical advice or making clinical decisions.
  • Route calls and messages to appropriate providers, managers, or staff members.
  • Escalate urgent, clinical, sensitive, unclear, or complex concerns appropriately.
  • Communicate professionally and patiently with patients, including elderly patients.
  • Follow established workflows and maintain appropriate administrative and clinical boundaries.
  • Support communication between patients, front desk staff, providers, and internal teams.

Requirements

  • Healthcare, medical office, primary care, medical receptionist, front desk, or Medical VA experience is required.
  • Experience handling patient inquiries, scheduling, message routing, or similar healthcare front-office workflows is required.
  • Experience managing high-volume inbound phone calls with professionalism and accuracy is required.
  • EHR/EMR experience, including chart navigation, documentation, and patient information review, is required.
  • Appointment scheduling and rescheduling experience is required.
  • Knowledge of basic medical terminology is required.
  • AdvancedMD experience is preferred but not required.
  • Prescription refill inquiry support experience is preferred.
  • Primary care experience is preferred.
  • Clear professional English communication is required; Spanish-English bilingual ability is preferred.
  • Must provide NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must have a reliable computer, webcam, noise-canceling headset, quiet workspace, and internet speed of at least 25 Mbps.

Benefits

  • Remote full-time schedule, Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM Eastern Time.
  • Hourly pay of $5–$6, depending on experience.
