Description

  • Manage the full medical billing lifecycle from claim submission through payment posting and reconciliation.
  • Handle denial management and follow up on unpaid claims to maximize reimbursement.
  • Generate and maintain billing reports and provide routine updates to the clinic.
  • Communicate billing issues and resolutions clearly with the clinic and relevant stakeholders.
  • Work with insurance providers such as Medicare, Medicaid, UHC, ASH, and Workers’ Compensation.
  • Use billing platforms such as Availity, Waystar, RadMD, or similar tools to complete billing tasks.
  • Maintain accuracy and attention to detail across all billing processes.
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to improve billing workflows.
  • Assist with benefits verification and pre-authorizations when needed or be willing to learn these functions.

Requirements

  • Relevant medical billing experience, especially end-to-end billing.
  • Strong experience in denial management and follow-ups.
  • Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
  • Must be able to submit an NBI Clearance and/or Local Police Clearance before onboarding.
  • Must be available for video meetings with camera on when needed.
  • Reliable laptop or desktop computer.
  • High-speed internet connection with a minimum of 10 Mbps.
  • Noise-canceling headset and webcam for virtual meetings.
  • Quiet, professional workspace.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional phone presence and a kind, pleasant, responsive demeanor.
  • Open to feedback and continuous learning.
  • Previous experience as a Virtual Assistant is preferred but not required.
  • Medical education, degree, or medical license is not required.
