Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable APIs using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Build and enhance mobile application features for iOS and Android using React Native.
  • Write clean, efficient, and reusable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Ensure performance, quality, and responsiveness of backend services and mobile applications, including conducting performance testing and optimizations.
  • Design and optimize database schemas, write efficient queries, and manage database migrations to ensure data integrity and security.
  • Write unit tests, perform debugging, troubleshoot issues, and resolve defects in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, designers, product managers, and DevOps engineers to implement features and optimize deployment processes.
  • Participate in code reviews, maintain comprehensive technical documentation, and provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in web development using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Proficiency in Python, Django, and Django REST Framework.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience in React Native mobile development (mandatory).
  • Strong understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and web services.
  • Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and experience managing database migrations.
  • Knowledge of version control with Git; experience with Docker and containerization is a plus.
  • Understanding of cloud services (AWS, GCP, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration abilities; ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be Filipino and based in the Philippines; must be willing to provide own equipment and work Monday–Friday on Philippines or US hours; employment is remote as an independent contractor.

Benefits

  • Salary range: USD 2,000–3,000 per month.
  • Semi-monthly pay frequency.
  • Unlimited paid time off after the probationary period.
  • HMO (health insurance) after the probationary period.
  • Remote work arrangement (Independent Contractor) with Monday–Friday schedule (Philippine or US hours).
