Description

  • Call patients to relay test results professionally and in a timely manner.
  • Create and process referrals for specialist healthcare providers.
  • Order labs and imaging, and coordinate and schedule appointments for patients.
  • Maintain, update, and ensure accuracy of electronic medical records (EMR/EHR).
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations and patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance).
  • Use communication tools (e.g., Avaya soft phone, VoIP) and desktop-sharing/cloud tools to interact with patients and providers.
  • Perform ad hoc tasks as needed to support the healthcare team.

Requirements

  • Current RN license (must be US-certified).
  • At least 2–3 years of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
  • Specialization or experience in patient care, family medicine, acute care, or other clinical settings (preferred).
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (minimum C1 level).
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and clinical practices.
  • Proficient with EHR/EMR systems and able to troubleshoot common technical issues.
  • Knowledge of healthcare privacy regulations (HIPAA) and patient confidentiality requirements.
  • Tech-savvy with experience using desktop sharing, cloud services, VoIP, and Avaya soft phone.
  • Availability to work U.S. work hours, including graveyard shift; able to work 20–40 hours per week.
  • Required technical setup: USB noise-cancelling headset, working webcam, main and backup computers (≥1.8 GHz processor, ≥4 GB RAM), primary wired internet ≥25 Mbps and backup ≥10 Mbps; applicants must be located in the Philippines (Filipino candidates only).
