Description

  • Review and forward invoices from multiple email inboxes into designated programs, classifying transactions as accounts payable or accounts receivable.
  • Log into client POS systems, generate and save/print sales reports, and forward reports to designated accounting software.
  • Manage reminders and schedules for government remittances and reporting deadlines to ensure compliance.
  • Punch in/out on the time-tracking system and add detailed client file notes for billing inquiries.
  • Save, organize, and file accounting documents on Windows server and Content Central systems.
  • Make limited supplier calls to arrange invoice payments via credit card while avoiding direct client correspondence.
  • Work US hours (graveyard shift) as required and coordinate with internal systems and teams for task execution.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years proven experience as a bookkeeper working with international clients.
  • Knowledge of Canadian taxation is required.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Solid understanding of accounting and financial terminologies and practices.
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Asana, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Familiarity with desktop sharing, cloud services, VoIP, and general tech-savviness.
  • Experience with MS Office (word-processing and spreadsheets) and online calendars/scheduling (e.g., Google Calendar).
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Availability to work US hours (graveyard shift) and commit 20–40 hours per week.
  • Technical equipment and connectivity: USB headset with noise cancellation, working webcam, main and backup computers (≥1.8 GHz processor, ≥4 GB RAM), main wired internet ≥25 Mbps and backup ≥10 Mbps.
