Description

  • Document new patient and referral intake.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling for patients and healthcare providers.
  • Enter patient information, medical records, and billing data into EMR/EHR systems.
  • Assist with processing insurance claims, verifying patient insurance information, and handling billing inquiries and documentation.
  • Respond to incoming patient inquiries and route them to the appropriate healthcare professional.
  • Assist with analyzing healthcare data, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
  • Ensure HIPAA compliance, privacy regulations, and patient confidentiality.
  • Coordinate the sending of medical records to departments, providers, and professionals as directed by the Managing Physician.
  • Perform ad hoc administrative tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical field or a pharmaceutical-related industry.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills at C1 level or above.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology and practices.
  • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with technologies such as desktop sharing and cloud services.
  • Must be located in Mexico or LATAM.
  • USB headset with noise cancellation, working webcam, main and backup computer with at least a 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM, and internet speeds of at least 25 Mbps wired main connection and 10 Mbps backup connection.
