Description

  • Call patients to relay test results in a timely and professional manner.
  • Create and process referrals for specialized healthcare providers.
  • Order labs and imaging and coordinate and schedule patient appointments.
  • Maintain and update electronic medical records (EMR) accurately and in compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality.
  • Use communication tools such as Avaya soft phone to interact with patients and healthcare providers.
  • Support the healthcare team with ad hoc tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • Active RN license from the Philippines or USRN credential.
  • At least 1 year of experience as a Medical Virtual Assistant.
  • Experience in patient care, family medicine, acute care, or clinical settings is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills at C1 level or above.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminologies and practices.
  • Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and ability to troubleshoot common technical issues.
  • Understanding of healthcare privacy regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Tech-savvy and familiar with desktop sharing, cloud services, and VoIP tools.
  • Able to work on a graveyard shift and during US work hours (20-40 hours per week).
  • USB headset with noise cancellation, working webcam, main and backup computer with at least 1.8 GHz processor and 4GB RAM, and a main wired internet connection of at least 25 Mbps plus backup internet of at least 10 Mbps.
