Description

  • Manage financial transactions including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports for management review.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial statements.
  • Process payroll and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Track invoices, expenses, and payments to ensure timely collections and disbursements.
  • Coordinate with project managers to track costs and profitability for construction projects (job costing).
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and construction industry regulations.
  • Assist in preparing documents for tax filings and audits.
  • Perform other finance-related tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Familiarity with the construction industry and job costing is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Xero, or other accounting software.
  • Experience with cloud-based accounting tools and general tech-savviness.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting.
  • Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong English communication skills (high proficiency in reading financial documents, clear professional writing, and effective speaking with clients and team members).
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and be available for US work hours (20–40 hours per week).
  • Home office technical requirements: USB headset with noise cancellation, working webcam, main and backup computer (≥1.8 GHz processor, ≥4GB RAM), main wired internet ≥25 Mbps and backup ≥10 Mbps.
