Description

  • Proactively monitor the performance, availability, and reliability of managed WiFi and network infrastructure across multiple customer environments.
  • Maintain, configure, and improve network monitoring platforms to enable faster and more accurate issue detection.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance metrics such as access point health, client connectivity, and network latency.
  • Investigate and resolve network performance issues with a focus on service quality and end-user experience.
  • Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with internal engineering teams and external vendors on long-term fixes.
  • Refine alerting thresholds and reduce false positives to improve operational efficiency.
  • Own the development and maintenance of reporting and dashboards to provide visibility into network performance and trends.
  • Monitor for potential security risks and ensure adherence to compliance and best-practice standards.
  • Use performance analysis tools such as NetBeez, RuckusOne, and Cambium Analytics to monitor and report on client performance.
  • Handle customer queries, provide suitable solutions within expected time frames, and follow up to ensure resolution.

Requirements

  • Degree in IT or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience working in a NOC or 24/7 monitoring environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with familiarity with ITIL processes.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as PRTG, Zabbix, SolarWinds, or Datadog.
  • Strong understanding of Layer 2 and Layer 3 network protocols.
  • Familiarity with vendor monitoring platforms such as Ruckus, Cambium, and TP-Link.
  • Understanding of RADIUS and captive portals.
  • Basic scripting ability in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
  • Certifications such as CCNA, CWNA, Network+, or ITIL are preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders and manage competing priorities under pressure.
