Description

  • Translate and edit English content into Taiwan Traditional Chinese while preserving the original meaning and readability for the target audience.
  • Proofread and copy edit investigator-facing, patient-facing, and pharmacy oncology clinical research documents.
  • Perform translation, proofreading, and MTPE tasks on an ongoing freelance basis.
  • Work with the XTM CAT tool for assigned projects.
  • Communicate translation rationale and terminology choices effectively when needed.
  • Collaborate flexibly based on project volume and personal availability.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience translating and editing content in the specified subject matter.
  • Must have experience in oncology.
  • Experience translating documents for clinical research or clinical trials.
  • Proficiency in both Traditional Chinese and English.
  • Degree in linguistics, translation, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to both translate and copy edit.
  • Proficiency with Track Changes in Microsoft Word.
  • Experience working with CAT tools such as Phase/XTM is required or preferred.
  • Ability to work remotely from Taiwan as a freelance/independent contractor.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain translation rationale.
