Description

  • Translate and proofread English into Corsican for ongoing marketing, product, UI, online help, and informational content.
  • Perform copy-editing and quality review to ensure linguistic accuracy and consistency.
  • Maintain brand voice, marketing tone, and customer-facing clarity across localized materials.
  • Use the client-specific CAT tool and follow provided training, style guides, glossaries, and QA guidelines.
  • Collaborate with global production and localization teams across a multicultural environment.
  • Meet weekly delivery volumes of approximately 500 to 1,000 words while working to deadline.
  • Incorporate feedback and revisions to improve translation quality and consistency.
  • Support localization work for a leading multinational technology company on a long-term freelance basis.

Requirements

  • Native or near-native proficiency in Corsican (Corsu) with excellent command of US English.
  • Proven experience translating English to Corsican content.
  • 2+ years of professional translation experience with a degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field, or 5+ years of professional translation experience without a formal translation degree.
  • Demonstrated experience translating informational, marketing, product, service, online help, and UI content.
  • Experience using CAT tools.
  • Strong understanding of marketing tone, brand voice, and customer-facing communication.
  • Excellent attention to detail, terminological consistency, and linguistic accuracy.
  • Ability to deliver high-quality translations while meeting deadlines.
  • Flexible, reliable, and responsive in a fast-paced localization environment.
  • Strong communication skills and openness to feedback and revisions.
