Description

  • Proactively identify participants due for Medi-Cal redetermination.
  • Educate participants and help complete required eligibility forms and obtain signatures.
  • Conduct home visits to complete forms when needed.
  • Gather documentation needed for eligibility determination or redetermination.
  • Complete and file applications while following up with participants, center staff, and government agencies.
  • Track and resolve eligibility issues with the Eligibility & Reconciliation team with minimal direction.
  • Prioritize daily requests, inquiries, turnaround times, and escalations.
  • Maintain a working relationship with DPSS to support compliance with DHCS and CMS policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant Medi-Cal/Medicaid enrollment experience.
  • Experience with share of cost, spousal impoverishment protections, and appeals processes.
  • Experience working directly with county DPSS on Medi-Cal enrollments, management, and appeals.
  • Strong experience in complex Medi-Cal enrollment case management.
  • Knowledge of Medi-Cal rules, processes, and practices.
  • Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to speak with seniors in a caring manner.
  • Willingness to meet the company’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement or provide a vaccine declination form prior to employment.

  • Compensation range of $25.61 to $33.80 USD per hour.
