Description

  • Oversee end-to-end parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from initial concept to production-ready outputs.
  • Coordinate, manage, and document building elements using BIM and IFC standards.
  • Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure compatibility across CAD and BIM platforms.
  • Create and maintain constrained sketches, parametric model hierarchies, and building components throughout projects.
  • Generate technical documentation and model exports in formats such as STEP, STL, DXF, and IFC.
  • Communicate modeling methods, BIM organization strategies, and interoperability considerations in written and verbal form.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to document workflow reasoning for AI training initiatives.

Requirements

  • Advanced expertise in FreeCAD, supported by a strong portfolio of completed complex projects.
  • Experience managing end-to-end parametric 3D CAD workflows in FreeCAD from concept to production.
  • Practical understanding of BIM processes and IFC standards, including relevant FreeCAD workbenches.
  • Hands-on experience with building elements, model structuring, and interoperability-focused data management.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, CAM, and other 3D CAD software.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong documentation attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote, collaborative environment with a high level of professionalism and technical excellence.
  • Experience contributing to the FreeCAD open-source community or developing custom plugins is preferred.
  • Background in AI, machine learning projects, or technical knowledge documentation is preferred.
  • Knowledge of workflows integrating FreeCAD with other BIM/CAD platforms is preferred.
