Description

  • Write and self-edit a wide range of content, including blog posts, articles, sales copy, website copy, landing pages, product descriptions, and thought leadership content.
  • Create middle- and bottom-funnel content, including MOFU and BOFU assets, for integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Write social media and email marketing copy as part of broader content initiatives.
  • Conduct independent research to produce factual, original, and authoritative writing.
  • Adapt content to different brand guidelines, tones, voices, and audience personas.
  • Manage a steady workflow of assignments while meeting deadlines in a 40-hour remote work schedule.
  • Collaborate virtually with project managers and editors to deliver polished final drafts.
  • Work across digital marketing, B2B, and niche industry sectors for a large portfolio of clients and publishers.

Requirements

  • 18+ months of professional writing experience in any industry, including agency, in-house, or freelance work.
  • Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce clear, engaging, error-free copy.
  • Experience in digital marketing and B2B writing is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to assume a client’s voice and style across different brands and audiences.
  • Availability to work 40 hours per week in a fully remote, independent contractor role.
  • Strong time management, organization, and deadline-management skills.
  • Comfort with working independently from home and managing assignments autonomously.
  • Ability to learn or use Google Docs, Microsoft Office, WordPress/CMS, Grammarly, Hemingway, SurferSEO, Clearscope, Ahrefs, SEMrush, and task management tools such as Basecamp, ClickUp, Trello, or Asana.
  • Resume or CV must be submitted in English, along with writing samples or a portfolio link.
  • South Africa schedule requires a 40-hour workweek with flexible start times between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM SAST Monday through Friday.
