Description

  • Architect the simulation evaluation roadmap and define the criteria for simulation realism and readiness.
  • Design mathematical frameworks that validate hybrid simulation systems, including rules, dynamics, and generative model quality.
  • Lead the design of large-scale evaluation platforms in C++ and Python.
  • Build robust, distributed metric pipelines that produce clear, reproducible signals on petabytes of data.
  • Serve as the technical lead and bridge between engineering, AI research, and simulation teams.
  • Translate product goals and launch requirements into concrete evaluation and engineering plans.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support rapid innovation and research roadmaps.
  • Ensure evaluation systems are extensible, maintainable, and aligned with onboard and product needs.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of industry experience in complex data systems, evaluation platforms, or back-end infrastructure.
  • Experience designing scalable systems using C++, Python, and distributed computing.
  • Strong focus on API design and maintainability.
  • Experience designing and implementing evaluation frameworks for complex systems or machine learning models.
  • Ability to develop statistical approaches for safety-critical validation and non-deterministic systems.
  • Experience creating technical strategies across multiple teams.
  • Ability to translate high-level product requirements into engineering problems.
  • Preferred background in autonomous vehicles, algorithmic trading, adtech/search ranking, machine learning, or robotics.
  • Preferred familiarity with validating generative AI models (LLMs, diffusion models) and/or classical simulation systems.
  • Preferred experience driving technical roadmaps for large-scale systems or validation frameworks.
  • Preferred experience guiding a team or system through a major architectural shift.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $238,000 to $302,000 USD.
