Description

  • Develop, test, and deploy features for next-generation offboard weather systems and infrastructure under the guidance of tech leads.
  • Implement and maintain scalable data pipelines for weather data ingestion, processing, and storage.
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of real-time and forecasting weather applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering partners to deliver reliable, high-quality software solutions.
  • Ensure high performance, code health, and system stability for software used in safe fleet operations.
  • Participate in code reviews and system design discussions.
  • Write comprehensive technical documentation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
  • 4+ years of experience programming in backend coding languages.
  • Strong foundation in computer science, including data structures, algorithms, and distributed systems.
  • Excellent collaboration skills to work with cross-functional partners.
  • Experience in C++ is preferred.
  • Familiarity with Google infrastructure such as Flume, Borg, Protocol Buffers, and OnePlatform is preferred.
  • Experience with payments, billing, or fintech systems where correctness is non-negotiable is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $175,000 to $215,000 USD.
  • Eligible for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
  • Eligible for Waymo’s equity incentive plan.
