Description

  • Own commercial plans for regional markets and serve as the strategic point of view for the territory in broader planning processes.
  • Partner with regional leadership and product teams to drive cross-functional strategy and indirect ownership of market outcomes.
  • Lead comprehensive planning cycles with key stakeholders across planning, product, and execution.
  • Build, manage, and refine detailed forecasting models to answer complex what-if scenarios and generate operational insights.
  • Improve planning software and methodologies, including Anaplan-based and spreadsheet-driven models, to align forecasts with corporate financial strategy.
  • Lead business optimization initiatives and translate regional operating issues into structured business processes and decisions.
  • Distill complex operational trends into clear business review narratives and root-cause analyses.
  • Bridge performance metrics to underlying drivers and feed insights back into commercial plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Finance, Business Analytics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in strategic operations, technical program management, financial planning, or a highly analytical business function.
  • Experience owning end-to-end planning cycles and serving as a strategic, cross-functional partner to leadership and product teams.
  • Hands-on expertise building, auditing, and navigating detailed models in Anaplan and advanced spreadsheet environments.
  • Ability to communicate complex operational data and technical scenarios as clear executive-level narratives.
  • Proven track record driving cross-functional strategy, cost-down initiatives, and revenue optimizations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SQL for data manipulation, data cleaning, and custom statistical modeling.
  • Master's degree preferred; MBA strongly preferred in Finance, Economics, Operations Research, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in strategic execution in consulting, private equity, investment banking, or corporate strategy at a hyper-growth technology firm (preferred).
  • Direct experience planning and managing ride-hailing networks, including liquidity, surge pricing, and supply-demand balancing (preferred).
  • Experience overseeing large-scale vehicle fleets and coordinating with third-party operators and enterprise partners (preferred).
  • Proficiency with stochastic simulation and queueing theory for operational planning (preferred).
  • Experience working in a highly matrixed organization and driving alignment across operations, product, finance, and corporate strategy (preferred).

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $159,000 to $196,000 USD, depending on location and experience.
  • Eligibility for Waymo’s discretionary annual bonus program.
