Description

  • Own team deliverables and objectives.
  • Set technical strategy and engineering best practices in collaboration with senior engineers.
  • Provide active career development and technical guidance to engineers.
  • Hire, build, and manage the performance of the engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful project management.
  • Design and implement greenfield projects with the team.
  • Write code, conduct code reviews, and contribute to architectural design and strategy work.
  • Build, drive, and uplift a dynamic and highly effective engineering team.
  • Own the creation and delivery of innovative products.
  • Reimagine and implement the future of data for the music industry.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading engineering teams of 6-10+ software engineers.
  • Hands-on leadership experience with coding, code reviews, and architectural design.
  • Proven track record of effective hiring and team building.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and fast-paced, evolving environments.
  • Empathetic leadership style with the ability to build strong teams.
  • Experience with Ruby on Rails, Postgres, TimescaleDB, Snowflake, TypeScript, React, React Native, and AWS is a plus.
  • Experience in the listed tech stack is preferred but not mandatory.
