Description

  • Serve as a technical authority for program-level systems engineering rigor, contractual compliance, and mission requirements.
  • Define and maintain system, subsystem, and interface requirements with full traceability and verification.
  • Lead system architecture development, functional allocation, interface definition, and system-level verification and validation.
  • Collaborate with propulsion, software, hardware, GNC, and test teams to resolve technical issues and achieve verification closure.
  • Manage system-level risks, mitigation strategies, and integration into the overall program risk posture.
  • Coordinate technical baseline management, change control, and formal reviews including SRR, PDR, CDR, and TRR.
  • Lead MBSE practices, including SysML modeling standards, requirements database integration, and digital engineering toolchain alignment.
  • Act as the primary technical liaison with customers and suppliers regarding requirements flowdown, verification progress, and issue resolution.
  • Mentor junior and mid-level systems engineers and promote knowledge transfer and process maturity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, aerospace engineering, or related STEM field with 10 years of relevant experience; or a related master’s degree with 8 years of experience; or 14 years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
  • High school diploma or equivalent accepted according to the listed qualification pathway.
  • Deep familiarity with MDA processes, CDRL development, and systems engineering lifecycle standards.
  • Expert proficiency with requirements management tools such as DOORS.
  • Knowledge of the INCOSE SE Handbook and MIL-STD-499.
  • Significant experience applying MBSE principles using SysML and Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Visio, and Project.
  • Working knowledge of DoDAF architecture frameworks and digital engineering environments preferred.
  • Experience with reliability and/or system safety analyses preferred.
  • Ability to travel 10–15%, obtain and maintain a U.S. government clearance, and comply with ITAR requirements; applicants must be a U.S. Person.

  • Base salary of $153,615–$199,400, with location-specific ranges of $161,700–$199,400 in California and $153,615–$189,430 in Nevada.
