Description

  • Provide emergency medical care in austere and limited-resource environments.
  • Deliver special operations medical support, including combat trauma stabilization, enroute care, and CASEVAC to definitive care.
  • Establish IV access and administer medications, fluids, and blood products under medical direction.
  • Prepare equipment and assist providers during patient examination and treatment.
  • Monitor and adjust specialized medical equipment and interpret patient data from critical care devices.
  • Manage complex airways and pulmonary function using advanced ventilation and airway techniques.
  • Conduct critical care transport missions for ICU-level patients.
  • Assist with routine sick call medicine and document care in medical records according to policy.
  • Perform special staff functions and medical training or instruction as requested.
  • Provide technical rescue and emergency medical services in support of PR/CASEVAC operations, including oversight of lower-level medics when assigned.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of paramedic experience.
  • Pararescue Pipeline graduate, SOCM graduate, SOCM plus SFMS (MOS 18-D), or SOCM plus SOIDC graduate.
  • 5 years of operational experience as a trained special operations medic.
  • NREMT-P certification.
  • Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certification through the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
  • Current PHTLS certification.
  • Current Secret clearance.
  • Must be a United States citizen.
  • Must be willing to deploy to various OCONUS locations as directed by the Government.
  • Must be able to obtain a U.S. passport and international visas.
  • Must meet all CRC deployment and medical requirements.
  • TPATC course completion within 3 months of employment.
  • Advanced certification such as FP-C, CC-P, or TP-C preferred.
  • Previous flight paramedic experience preferred.
  • Current TCCC certification preferred.
  • TCCC Instructor experience preferred.
  • Ability to lift 150 pounds with assistance, carry 80 pounds for 30 feet, and push/pull over 200 pounds.
