Description

  • Execute technical workstreams for new customer onboarding, including discovery support, build planning, cutover coordination, and post-go-live validation.
  • Implement, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server services such as Active Directory Domain Services, Group Policy, file permissions, and server role migrations.
  • Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, licensing, mail flow, and mail filtering.
  • Manage endpoint and device configuration through Microsoft Intune, including enrollment, policies, compliance, and application deployment.
  • Perform data migrations for file servers, mailboxes, SharePoint, and OneDrive, including user impact planning and validation.
  • Support virtualization and compute platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V, including host and VM lifecycle operations and migration support.
  • Coordinate with senior network engineers by maintaining foundational networking knowledge and troubleshooting connectivity dependencies.
  • Serve as an escalation resource for complex Windows, identity, and Microsoft 365 issues from the Service Desk and drive issues to resolution.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance windows for upgrades, cutovers, and incident response.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, as-built records, ticket notes, and time entry in the PSA system.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of systems administration experience with hands-on Windows domain services and Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows domains, Active Directory, Group Policy, file permissions, and Windows Server administration.
  • Strong knowledge of public and internal DNS, DHCP, and identity-related troubleshooting.
  • Proficient administration of Microsoft 365 services, including Teams, SharePoint, Exchange Online, Entra ID, licensing, and mail flow.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune for device management and policy deployment.
  • Basic understanding of networking fundamentals, including VLANs, VPNs, subnets, and firewall concepts.
  • Experience supporting virtualization platforms such as VMware and/or Hyper-V.
  • Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and customer communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured project environment and manage multiple active work streams.
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation, scheduled after-hours maintenance windows, and occasional travel to customer sites.
  • Preferred: 3+ years of experience in an MSP or similar multi-customer environment.
  • Preferred: Experience with hybrid identity, conditional access, and identity lifecycle practices.
  • Preferred: Experience with migration tooling and methods such as Exchange cutovers, tenant-to-tenant migrations, and SharePoint/OneDrive migrations.
  • Preferred: PowerShell scripting for administration and automation.
  • Preferred: Experience with backup and recovery operations in an MSP environment.
  • Preferred: Relevant certifications such as Microsoft AZ-104, MS-102, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
