Description

  • Execute end-to-end payroll processing cycles personally, with primary focus on Canada and US payroll.
  • Process payroll across multiple regions (North America, EMEA, LATAM, APAC), including payroll inputs, calculations, adjustments, and reconciliations.
  • Support and manage global year-end payroll activities, tax filings, and regulatory reporting.
  • Administer North American and international benefits programs, including enrollments, life events, terminations, and benefit updates.
  • Maintain accurate benefits data across payroll, HRIS, and vendor systems and ensure compliance with regional benefits regulations.
  • Act as escalation point for payroll and benefits inquiries and provide clear, timely employee support.
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external vendors/brokers to manage global payroll and benefits operations.
  • Manage and optimize payroll/HRIS systems (e.g., UKG, Workday, CloudPay, ADP), audit integrations, and support system enhancements.
  • Produce reporting and analytics for leadership, budgeting, workforce planning, and drive process improvements and automation initiatives.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of payroll experience, including 3+ years in a Payroll Lead or Manager role.
  • Mandatory hands-on experience processing Canada and US payroll (actively running payroll cycles, not only oversight).
  • Experience administering North American and international benefits; experience with global payroll (EMEA, LATAM, APAC) preferred.
  • Payroll certification required (PCP, CPM, CPP, or equivalent).
  • Degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, Accounting, or related field.
  • Advanced Excel skills (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs) and strong numeracy with high accuracy.
  • Experience with payroll/HRIS systems such as UKG, Workday, CloudPay, ADP, or similar.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in English (additional languages an asset).
  • High level of confidentiality, ability to manage multiple time zones and deadlines, and a continuous improvement mindset focused on efficiency and accuracy.
