Description

  • Build and refine metrics to evaluate model performance and quantify uncertainty.
  • Conduct in-depth analyses to identify growth opportunities and inform pricing strategy.
  • Collaborate with engineers and analysts to build scalable data pipelines for efficient data access.
  • Partner with ML scientists, engineers, product managers, and growth marketers to align priorities and drive business impact.
  • Develop dashboards and reporting tools to monitor key metrics and performance.
  • Perform self-directed investigations into business questions and underlying data.
  • Design and prepare recurring reports for the Machine Learning team, leadership, and external business partners.
  • Translate data insights into recommendations that influence strategic decisions.

Requirements

  • Advanced degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Finance, or a related quantitative field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data science, analytics, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of statistical, probability, and machine learning theory.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL for querying and analyzing large datasets.
  • Experience with Python and data analysis libraries.
  • Proven ability to translate complex data insights into business impact and strategic recommendations.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to turn general problem statements into actionable solutions (preferred).
  • Knowledge of statistical methods for measuring uncertainty, such as Bayesian or frequentist approaches (preferred).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including ML scientists, engineers, and product partners (preferred).
  • Experience building visualizations and maintaining dashboards using Plotly or Matplotlib to track model performance (preferred).

  • Base salary range of $149,800 to $207,000 USD for U.S. remote roles.
