Description

Define and evolve the end-to-end architecture for the data transformation and retrieval platform.
Build and scale distributed systems that process large volumes of unstructured data across many formats and sources.
Own Kubernetes orchestration, cluster design, performance tuning, and reliability across the company.
Lead Python architecture and best practices to improve performance, modularity, and maintainability across services.
Design and optimize Postgres schemas, queries, indexing strategies, and transaction handling for large-scale pipelines.
Mentor senior engineers through design reviews and code guidance to raise technical standards across the organization.
Partner with infrastructure and product teams to turn research prototypes into production-grade systems.
Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and open-source tools for LLM infrastructure, retrieval, and orchestration.
Guide technical direction across the platform, ensuring systems are performant, resilient, and ready for AI workloads.

Requirements

10+ years of software engineering experience focused on distributed systems, infrastructure, or data architecture.
Expert-level Python experience, including building frameworks and performance-critical services from scratch.
Deep Kubernetes expertise, including designing, deploying, debugging, and productionizing systems at scale.
Strong Postgres knowledge, including query planning, partitioning, indexing, and high-throughput tuning.
Experience with high-performance data or AI/ML systems, especially retrieval pipelines, embeddings, or hybrid workloads.
Ability to lead design reviews and shape system architecture with strong technical judgment.
Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where depth and ownership matter.
Preferred: experience building or scaling LLM-powered or RAG systems in production.
Preferred: familiarity with open-source orchestration frameworks, vector databases, or hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Preferred: contributions to open-source projects in Python, Kubernetes, or distributed systems.
