Description

  • Assist in administering the data center network, performing routine updates and patches to maintain performance and security.
  • Develop, follow, and improve procedures for network troubleshooting, recovery, backup, and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with the team to diagnose and resolve hardware, network, and infrastructure issues to minimize downtime.
  • Support building and optimizing internal network routing within the data center and connectivity to cloud and the internal Unity network.
  • Contribute to and maintain clear documentation of processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Participate in planning and design discussions by gathering requirements, testing configurations, and providing feedback.
  • Assist senior engineers with implementation tasks and learn established operational processes.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the company to maintain tools and infrastructure used by Unity developers worldwide.

Requirements

  • Experience with Palo Alto firewalls, Linux servers, or Cumulus Linux switches (professional, academic, or lab experience accepted).
  • Fundamental understanding of IP routing concepts and policies, including static routing and exposure to dynamic routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, or EIGRP.
  • Basic Linux administration and host-level networking skills.
  • Familiarity with Ansible for simple automation tasks.
  • Understanding of core network architecture and protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills and strong willingness to learn with attention to detail.
  • Exposure to OpenStack components and familiarity with Ceph concepts (nice to have).
  • Coding/scripting skills (Python or Bash) and understanding of CI/CD workflows in a DevOps environment (nice to have).
  • Experience or internships in a data center or lab environment and/or relevant certifications (e.g., Palo Alto PCCSA/PCCET, CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA).
  • Sufficient professional English proficiency for regular global communication; note that relocation support and work visa/immigration sponsorship are not available for this position.
