Description

  • Own the roadmap for Unity’s platform support and decide where to invest based on market trends and creator impact.
  • Lead a team of Technical PMs as a player-coach while staying closely involved in strategy and technical execution.
  • Author high-stakes strategy documents and review technical specifications related to engine and hardware integration.
  • Work with Business Development to help negotiate platform deals and ensure commitments to hardware partners are technically deliverable.
  • Navigate cross-functional dependencies and secure the resources and commitments needed to support platform-level stability.
  • Partner with R&D to define how AI-driven authoring and internal AI tooling evolve Unity’s engine and product management practices.
  • Represent Unity’s platform vision at industry conferences and in conversations with major global partners and platform holders.
  • Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering data-informed decision-making and technical excellence.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of proven experience leading product strategy and shipping complex, highly technical products.
  • Experience with middleware, operating systems, developer tools, or large-scale integrations.
  • Ability to discuss technical topics such as APIs, rendering pipelines, and hardware abstraction with architects and engineers.
  • Experience managing high-stakes external partner relationships and influencing stakeholders across a large organization.
  • Track record of resolving complex dependencies to ship products.
  • Strong interest in emerging technologies, especially the intersection of generative AI and content creation.
  • Ability to communicate a multi-year technical roadmap clearly to partners, executives, and the developer community.
  • Strong knowledge of English for frequent professional verbal and written communication with global colleagues and partners.
  • Relocation support is not available for this position.
